Marching Band Contest & Blanket Donation

As part of the annual Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade, marching bands will be judged on music performance, marching and general effect.  Trophies for the top five bands will be awarded to the winners.  In addition, a trophy will be awarded to the Outstanding Percussion Section, Outstanding Drum Major and Outstanding Guard Unit.

Judging the marching bands will be band directors from area colleges and universities.

All band members are encouraged to bring a blanket to keep warm while waiting to enter the parade.  As they enter the parade route, the blankets are collected by volunteers and donated to St. Louis Catholic Charities and Pilgrim Congregational Soup Kitchen for distribution to those in need.

Come cheer them on!
