Welcome to Christmas in St. Louis
Welcome to Christmas in St. Louis - Home of the Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Macy's Festival of Lights. For years, our non-profit, all-volunteer organization has been dedicated to promoting activities that inspire people to show their unique holiday spirit while enhancing the texture and heritage of the St. Louis community. This year, the Christmas In St. Louis Organization is celebrating 29 years of Civic and Community Service. We are proud to work in conjunction with various community leaders in promoting local charities, businesses and organizations who are committed to supporting the St. Louis community.
The parade will be held on Thanksgiving, November 28, 2013. As in past years, it will start in downtown St. Louis at 8:45 AM.
We are honored to have Mary Engelbreit, world renowned graphic artist and illustrator, as our Honorary Grand Marshal. In addition, we expect over 130 parade units, such as musical floats and displays, giant helium balloon figures, animal units and marching bands from around the St. Louis region. As always, Santa Claus will be present to wish everyone a Merry Christmas at the end of the parade.
