Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights

The Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights officially kicks off the season at Union Station this year at 2:30 pm in downtown St. Louis. Opening the Festival is the Muny Kids Touring Troupe performance inside Union Station. The main stage entertainment begins at 5:30pm hosted once againby Vic Porcelli of Fresh 102.5 outside Union Station in Aloe Plaza. The Salvation Army Tree of Lights will be located in Aloe Plaza.

Scheduled to perform are the Muny Kids Touring Troupe, Grand Center Performing Arts Choir, St. Louis Dance Project performance of the Nutcracker, Salvation Army Brass Band, Kingsbury Place Singers from the St. Louis Christmas Carols Association, Rosati Kain High Theater Group and Cast of Bravo's "Thicker Than Water".

The Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights will feature musical entertainment,children activities, vendors, sports and corporation mascots, tracklesstrain rides, a juggler and the Rams Play 60 school bus. Food will beavailable for purchase from the St. Louis Food Trucks along Chestnut Street bordering the Aloe Plaza.

Author Carolyn Carter is scheduled to announce the winner of the Christmas in St. Louis Coloring and Essay Contest. Carolyn will present the winners with her book “The Prince Charming Starter Kit”.

Mayor Slay is scheduled to light up St. Louis approximately at 6:25 pm with a fabulous holiday fireworks display. Following the fireworks, festival participants can follow Santa inside to Union Station for more holiday activities.
